Constructed on land owned by Harry Warner of Warner Bros motion picture fame, the Warner Center in the San Fernando Valley was conceived in the 1970s and was completed two decades later. This self-contained, multi-faceted section of Woodland Hills, California features many office buildings, a shopping mall, and a park.

A mini skyline marks the Warner Center. There are three “skyscrapers,” the tallest of which is 25 stories high. In addition, the business park also features several low-rise office buildings. The Warner Center is home to a fair amount of large businesses, including Fortune 500 companies like Health Net, and Zenith Insurance, a national insurance company that deals with workers' compensation.

The Westfield Promenade is a major Warner Center retail attraction. This stylish two-story shopping mall is anchored by Macy’s. National chain stores include Barnes & Noble and Coach, a high-end leather-goods store. A 16-screen AMC Theatre provides plenty of options for entertainment. As for dining, there’s a phenomenal food court along with such first-rate sit-down restaurants as P.F. Chang’s China Bistro and Ruth’s Chris Steak House.

Situated right next to the Warner Center’s high-rise buildings, Warner Center Park covers 20 acres of verdant land that was donated by the Harry Warner family more than 40 years ago. Visitors come to the park to picnic and to enjoy live music. Every Sunday during the summer, there are free concerts at the Lou Bredlow Pavilion, where the Valley Cultural Center's Concerts in the Park reign supreme.
